Great New Updates

March 24, 2009

We have released some great new updates to the site. We have changed the Learning Management System to My Account and have made the page much easier to navigate. The new My Account page allows users to edit and add students, view student dashboards, edit student settings, generate reports, and create lessons quickly and easily. We have also simplified the Create a Lesson page. The steps to create a lesson are very simple and we now have included a tutorial to help you make lessons. We are very excited about the Create a Lesson page  because we are the only online program currently offering this feature!

Let us know what you think of these new changes. Thank you for your continued support! – Success Through Practice

We Are Off & Running!

February 16, 2009

This past month has been a very exciting time for us here at We launched our site at the Kids@Play Summit at the Consumer Electronic Show in Las Vegas and news of our release was picked up by several publications including Reuters and Yahoo. We want to thank our friends and family for all of your support and spreading the word on how well works.

As most of you know, my own daughter started using over the summer. At the end of kindergarten, she was flagged for reading support. She began using our program in July and her reading level was retested in October. In three months, she went up SIX reading levels! I am very happy to report that on her most recent report card, she went up FOUR more levels! She is now reading at almost a grade level and a half above her current grade level. So, in six months, my daughter went up 10 guided reading levels – from pre-primer to end of 2nd grade. I attribute her time on for her success in reading.

Thank you, too, to all of you who have provided us with such great feedback for our site. This has really helped us make our product even better. From your feedback, we will be releasing a new and improved registration page. We have done our best to make it as simple as possible. Please let us know what you think! – Success Through Practice!

Welcome Whoosh Learning

December 19, 2008

For my inaugural post to the Whoosh Learning blog, I would like to introduce Whoosh Learning to the virtual world. While we have not officially launched our site to the public, we are hoping, through this blog, to begin gathering some important feedback on Whoosh Learning from you – interested parents, teachers, and others – and to start creating a bit of buzz, of course.

I created Whoosh Learning because, as an elementary school teacher, I began to see a pattern emerging among my students. Many of them lacked basic skills knowledge in math and reading and struggled to reach higher-order thinking skills. When I became a mother, I looked for programs to help my own children master fundamental math and reading skills, but found the courses available weren’t flexible, were too expensive, and didn’t keep my children enthused. Whoosh Learning was developed to give parents and teachers a platform for advancing elementary school education in an effective, affordable, flexible, and fun way. I believe programs like Whoosh – that get back to basics – will play an important role in shaping the future success of our students.

This past July, I started my own daughter on Whoosh Learning. In October, her teacher tested her reading skills and found that she had advanced by six reading levels! It’s was great to see the promise of Whoosh Learning in action.

As a parent and teacher, I designed Whoosh Learning so my children could easily build the skills they need to be successful in school. Now that I’ve seen how well it works, I’m excited to share it with the rest of the world!
